At a fundraiser event, the president took a question of choice whether he leans more towards Jay-Z or Kanye West.

AceShowbiz - President Barack Obama sticks to his opinion that Kanye West is a "jackass". With a wink, the first man of United States told a reporter at a fundraising event that he thought the rapper still has that label attached to him.

In 2009, the president told ABC's "Nightline" in an interview that the rapper was rude for interrupting Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at that year's MTV Video Music Awards, calling him a "jackass". Now, two years later, Obama told The Atlantic's David Samuels at a political fundraiser in New York City, "He is a jackass. But he's talented."

Samuels first threw the question whether Obama is on team Jay-Z or Kanye. The president answered, "Jay-Z" before adding, "although I like Kanye. He's a Chicago guy. Smart. He's very talented."

The last time Obama called him a jackass, Kanye did not take it too well. He threw a little jab at the president, "When Obama called me 'jackass' after the Taylor Swift incident, I thought that must have been speaking off the record. Obama has way more important stuff to worry about than my public perception. He was trying to pass the healthcare bill."

"And if he said that to relate to the room or lighten the room up and the whole mood, then I'd be more than happy to be the butt of all of his jokes if it in the some way helps his overall mission ...I'm a soldier of culture. I'm resilient. I'm sure I'll still beat him in basketball."
