'It's all a misunderstanding,' tweets Valerie Bertinelli minutes after she informed her followers that White is 'VERY upset' because the verified BettyMWhite account is 'NOT her.'

AceShowbiz - Betty White seems to have pulled a practical joke on one of her "Hot in Cleveland" co-stars. A day after she joined Twitter under the handle @BettyMWhite, the 90-year-old actress made Valerie Bertinelli believe that the account isn't legit, prompting the later to spread the words on her own account.

"Just spoke with Betty and she is VERY upset! @BettyMWhite is NOT her," wrote Bertinelli on Wednesday, April 11. "Don't know how they got verified, but it is not Betty. Please RT!" She, however, tweeted less than an hour later, "Stop the presses! Betty just got a call. An account was opened on her behalf by her people. More to come..."

The 51-year-old actress later clarified, "It's all a misunderstanding...@BettyMWhite IS Betty's twitter account! Now follow me back, b***h! ;-)," before admitting in a following tweet, "I think @BettyMWhite pranked me but good! #blushing." A representative for White also confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that "Betty pranked Valerie."

Since it went live on Wednesday, Betty's official Twitter page has racked up over 170,000 followers. Its first post read, "Hello Twitter! And they said it would never happen. Oh wait, that was me." It also has a flirty message to Ryan Seacrest, "Hey @RyanSeacrest - my new show airs tomorrow and I hear we're in the same time slot. I've always dreamed of sharing a night with you..."
