The 'Hold It Against Me' songstress is reportedly going to receive almost $15 million by joining the Simon Cowell-created show, with major deal points having been agreed upon over the weekend.

AceShowbiz - Britney Spears is still circling "The X Factor (US)" and is probably closer than ever before to join the reality series. Despite the reports saying the talks between the pop superstar and the show's camp are "pretty much dead," the latest update from their negotiations revealed that the 30-year-old singer is close to seal the deal.

According to Deadline, the "two sides are now headed for the final stretch after a big breakthrough over the weekend when major deal points were agreed upon." It was additionally said that the mother of two may get almost $15 million, more than the $12 million Jennifer Lopez gets from "American Idol", if she ends up signing on for the gig.

The U.S. version of "The X Factor" is looking for two new judges to fill the judging seats after firing Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger. The second season will additionally feature two new hosts, after it did not renew Steve Jones' contract.

In another news, "X Factor (US)" is ranked second in Forbes' list of TV's Biggest Moneymakers with $5.55 million in ad revenue per half-hour for FOX. It trails behind Simon Cowell's former show "American Idol", which still nabs the top spot with $6.64 million every half-hour.

Sitting on the third place is "Two and a Half Men" with $3.24 million per half hour, followed by "Glee" ($2.83 million) and "Grey's Anatomy" ($2.75 million) in the fourth and fifth place respectively. Rounding up the top ten are "Dancing with the Stars" ($2.72 million), "Desperate Housewives" ($2.61 million), "The Big Bang Theory" ($2.57 million), "Mad Love" ($2.49 million), and "Modern Family" ($2.13 millions).
