'Supernatural' Likely Secures Renewal With a Change in Showrunner Line-Up
TV

Sera Gamble will step down as a co-showrunner and is replaced by Jeremy Carver, who served as a co-producer during the 2009-10 season of the CW drama series.

AceShowbiz - "Supernatural" is undergoing a change in its showrunner line-up. Sera Gamble, who has been working on the show since the beginning, will step down as a chief writer-producer by the end of this seventh season.

Taking over the reins is none other than Jeremy Carver, who is no stranger to the long-running drama series. Carver joined the show in 2007 as a writer, before moving up to co-producer in 2009. He left The CW's series in 2010 to run Syfy's "Being Human" with his wife Anna Fricke.

Carver will team up with Robert Singer as the showrunners of "Supernatural", while he continues serving as executive producer for "Being Human".

While The CW has not officially announced a new season pick-up for "Supernatural", Carver's return indicates that the show will likely get a renewal. Additionally, the Jared Padalecki-starring series still gains strong ratings for the network.
