AceShowbiz - First look at the diamond ring Alec Baldwin gave to Hilaria Thomas when asking for her hand in marriage has popped out online. The cameras managed to catch a glimpse of the engagement ring on Thomas' wedding finger on Monday, April 2 when the "30 Rock" star's yoga instructor fiancee stepped out in New York City.
While official details regarding the ring have yet to be disclosed, Celebuzz has asked Zaven Ghanimian from world-renowned diamond jeweler, Simon G, to give the estimates on it. Having said that the sparkler might have cost between $75,000 to $95,000, Ghanimian added, "The center stone looks to be between a 3-and-a-half to 4 karat - definitely of good color and make."
54-year-old Baldwin met 28-year-old Thomas in early 2011 while dining with friends at Pure Food and Wine. The "It's Complicated" actor reportedly popped the question during a trip to the East End of Long Island. His representative has confirmed the engagement news as saying, "Alec proposed to Hilaria this weekend and we're all excited for the newly engaged couple."
Also sharing the joy of Baldwin's engagement to Thomas was his daughter from former wife Kim Basinger, Ireland. The 16-year-old tweeted, "Congratulations to @AlecBaldwin an @hilariathomas on getting engaged! Love you guys." Responding to the teen's posting, Thomas wrote back, "love you mas xoxo."
