Perry used sword, shield and a tin of pie as her stage prop while the British boys let the bouncy balls move the crowd.

AceShowbiz - Katy Perry and One Direction entertained the crowd at Nickelodeon's 25th Annual Kids' Choice Awards in Los Angeles with their energetic performances. Perry went medieval in her stage act, complete with the sword and the shield, while the Brit boys got extremely close to the studio audience.

Perry entered the stage through the air over the crowd, clutching a sword. Her dancers were all dancing in medieval garb including the armors. A big shield with a glowing heart in the center was aimed at the audience. The performance had a dramatic turn when Perry grabbed the king, put him in a torture device and smashed a pie on his face.

As soon as she completed her performance, host Will Smith went up the stage to hand over a blimp to the singer for winning Favorite Voice from an Animated Movie. "Thank you so very much!" Perry said. "Listen: The only reason why I'm still here today, and remember this, is because I've never grown up! Thank you so much for this. I love you, and I can't wait to do 'Smurfs 2'."

The Saturday, March 31 event was on high when One Direction kicked into "What Makes You Beautiful". Bouncy balls were scattered all over the audience during the performance. Ashley Tisdale, Taylor Swift, and Selena Gomez, who were seated next to each other, danced to the song, so did Michelle Obama. They finished the set by kicking the balls back into the audience.
