The prehistoric dino series seems to be officially over after the streaming service and 20th Century Fox TV can't agree on terms to revive the series.

AceShowbiz - After holding on a hope that Netflix would pick it up, "Terra Nova" looks pretty much dead now. Multiple sources said that the streaming service has opted to pass on reviving the prehistoric dino series since a deal could not be reached in the talks with studio 20th Century Fox TV.

According to TV Guide, budgeting issue is only one of the sticking points in the discussions. Additionally, a source revealed that international broadcasters may not have been keen on the idea of Netflix serving as the sole U.S. "broadcaster" of "Terra Nova".

Following reports that Netflix gave up on reviving "Terra Nova", Jason O'Mara seemed to be confirming the show's end in recent tweets. "A moment of silence for what has passed and what might have been. #Netflix ends talks to revive our show," he wrote on Monday, January 26.

The Jim Shannon depicter added in another post, "A BIG thank you to the legion of #TerraNova fans all over the world for your passion & support. Had a great time playing Jim. #saditsallover"

"Terra Nova" was officially canceled by FOX in early March after only one season. At that time, the studio said it's trying to keep the show alive by shopping it to other networks and Netflix soon showed an interest to rescue the drama series.
