Taylor Kitsch admitted that he has "absolutely no regrets" over the disappointing result of "John Carter", which makes Walt Disney Pictures lose a massive $200 million. While it is still unclear if any sequels will be made for the money-loser film, Kitsch opened up that he would love to still be attached to the possible follow-ups.

Before attending the global press tour for "Battleship", the 30-year-old actor told Entertainment Weekly, "I would do 'John Carter' again tomorrow." He said confidently, "I'm very proud of 'John Carter'. Box office doesn't validate me as a person, or as an actor."

"I'd love to go do 'John Carter 2'," so the actor, who was formerly known as Tim Riggins on "Friday Night Lights", claimed though it is likely that the sequel will never get a greenlight. "I really would. It's just s***ty I don't get to work with the ['John Carter'] family. It really was a special thing."

Though his first big screen starring role had failed to score a great success, Kitsch admitted that he will continue to move forward. "I'm going to keep working," so he stated optimistically. "It's an exciting time."

"John Carter", which was released on March 9, is close to become a movie that suffers the biggest box office flop of all time. Receiving mixed reviews from critics, the sci-fi film grossed a so-so $30.1 million domestically on its opening weekend. On its third weekend, the movie that cost $250 million to produce only grabs an estimated $5 million for a total domestic cume of $62.3 million.

Kitsch will next be seen in another sci-fi movie "Battleship", which also stars Liam Neeson, Alexander Skarsgard and Rihanna. His other upcoming project is "Savages", a star-studded thriller directed by Oliver Stone.
