The Dr. Anna Del Amico of 'ER' will play a mother whose daughter shares the same gift as the son of Kiefer Sutherland's character on the FOX new drama series.

AceShowbiz - Maria Bello is heading back to work not long after her police drama series "Prime Suspect" was canceled by NBC. The Golden Globe nominee will join Kiefer Sutherland's "Touch" for a multi-episode arc, so it has been confirmed.

Deadline, which first reported the news, said that the 44-year-old actress will portray "an earth-mother type whose daughter shared a gift similar to that of Martin's (Sutherland) son Jake (David Mazouz)." If the drama series is picked up for a second season by FOX, she will likely be upped as a regular.

"Touch" has just aired its second episode on Thursday, March 22. The telecast earned solid ratings, with 11.8 million total viewers and a 3.3 rating in the key 18-49 demo. The show will return with a new episode, "Safety in Numbers", on March 29 at 9/8c.
