Charles Kelley, Dave Haywood and Hillary Scott are moved by the 'story, resilience and unity' of people supporting the school which was damaged by the recent fatal tornado in Indiana.

AceShowbiz - In the wake of a devastating tornado which wrecked Indiana recently, Lady Antebellum plan to hold a private concert for students from Henryville High School. The country music trio picked the school, which was heavily destroyed by the tornado, after carefully reviewing each submission for their "Own the Prom Night" contest.

The Henryville students got support from their peers across the country including from their longtime sports rival Silver Creek High School in nearby Sellersburg, Ind. and a southern Illinois community. They all submitted video urging Lady A to choose the school, and the band were touched by "their story, resilience and unity."

"Not only was their own submission moving," the band explain on their official website, "But schools across the country spontaneously submitted videos campaigning on behalf of Henryville High School in support of Henryville receiving the special concert, including the winning submission from Silver Creek High School."

The Henryville students are set to hold their prom on April 27, but the band won't be able to perform on the scheduled date due to "a previously scheduled commitment." To make it up to them, the band will throw a bigger event on May 16 in nearby Louisville, KY and follow it with a benefit for the community.

"Trust me, we have something even bigger in store," Charles Kelley said in a video message when announcing the winner for the prom contest. Dave Haywood chimed in, "We're doing something special for the entire community," while Hillary Scott gushed about their excitement for the upcoming gig.
