AceShowbiz - A few days after releasing a humorous first trailer for "Dark Shadows", Warner Bros. Pictures released a set of flashy character posters for the upcoming supernatural movie. Each of the characters is presented with different color background in the vintage-themed images.

Johnny Depp's Barnabas Collins, Eva Green's Angelique Bouchard, Michelle Pfeiffer's Elizabeth Collins Stoddard and Helena Bonham Carter's Dr. Julia Hoffman are among the key characters featured in the banners. Each of them is seen sporting a pale face in a close-up shot.

Based on a 1960s' Gothic soap opera, "Dark Shadows" follows Barnabas, a rich, powerful and inveterate playboy who is also the master of Collinwood Manor. One day, he makes a big mistake of breaking the heart of Angelique, a witch who brings him to a fate worse than death; turning him into a vampire and then burying him alive.

Two centuries after his death, Barnabas is accidentally freed from his tomb. The vampire then returns to his mansion only to find his once-grand estate has fallen into ruin. He must now have some run-ins with various monsters, witches, werewolves and ghosts.

Directed by Tim Burton, the much awaited movie is also supported by Jonny Lee Miller, Chloe Moretz, Gulliver McGrath, Jackie Earle Haley and Bella Heathcote. Warners will release the film in the U.S. on May 11.
