TV

Derek recruits Karen to sing a new song behind Tom and Julia's back, leading to a clash between the director and the writers.

AceShowbiz - The people behind "Marilyn the Musical" will be rocked with a betrayal issue in the next episode of "Smash". While the team deals with the aftermath of the workshop, Derek recruits Karen to sing a new song without noticing Tom and Julia in an effort to steal the project from the two writers.

Seeing the offer from Derek as a huge opportunity, Karen might be accused by Ivy of stabbing Tom and Julia in the back. Ivy herself remains in the dark about her fate in the musical.

Meanwhile, Eileen must face up to her ex-husband, Jerry (guest star Michael Cristofer), when their daughter Katie (guest star Grace Gummer) pays a surprise visit from India.

"The Coup" will air Monday, March 26 at 10/9c on NBC. Katharine McPhee's Karen will perform "Touch Me" which is written and produced by Ryan Tedder. The OneRepublic frontman will additionally guest star as himself in the episode when Derek asks him to come in and work on a project for him.
