New 'Amazing Spider-Man' Viral Clip Has Captain Stacy Dissing the Masked Vigilante
Movie

The father of Gwen Stacy is seen expressing his dislikes toward Spidey while speaking to Daily Bugle TV, where he tells audience to call him if they see the masked 'criminal.'

AceShowbiz - The marketing team of "The Amazing Spider-Man" has unleashed another viral video for the much awaited superhero movie. The video shows a faux news segment on Daily Bugle TV, where Denis Leary's Captain George Stacy disses Spidey by branding him a criminal. "What kind of hero wears a mask?" so he cynically asks before suggesting audience to dial a hotline number anytime they see the "masked vigilante".

The viral clip aside, the forthcoming Marvel comics movie had a panel at the 2012 WonderCon in Anaheim, California. Lead actors Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone along with director Marc Webb were all on hand at the discussion session on Saturday, March 17.

Asked to share his experience in directing his first big-budgeted film, Webb explained, "It depends on what the scene is about. Ultimately, it's important to try to keep the actors feeling authentic and real, but making sure that those performances track with the audience in a different way."

The filmmaker elaborated furthermore, "Doing a movie like this, it's like a sonnet. There's a form that you have to adhere to, to a certain degree, but there's enormous flexibility within those barriers and within those restrictions."

Webb also opened up that he put more focus on details of the main character to redefine his version of "Spider-Man" for a new generation of moviegoers. "Things like mechanical web shooters, which I thought was a fun part of the comic, and it's also - I remember talking to Stan Lee very early on. I was like, 'So, what's your feeling on these?' And he was like, 'It was a way to dramatize Peter's intellect, his scientific quality'," the director said.

"The Amazing Spider-Man" is due to arrive in the U.S. theaters on July 3.
