Together they would produce 'The Wolf of Wall Street' which is based on a memoir by former stock broker Jordan Belfort.

AceShowbiz - Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese are in for their fifth collaboration. They have committed to "The Wolf of Wall Street", a film based on the memoir of Jordan Belfort who is a former white collar criminal spending 22 months in jail for offenses related to stock market manipulation.
Filming is to start in August in New York using the script by Terence Winter, the exec producer of "The Sopranos" and "Boardwalk Empire". Winter will polish his script before going into production. In his book, Belfort recounted his days as a "hard partying, drug addicted stockbroker who was indicted in 1998 for security fraud and money laundering".
According to Deadline, Scorsese and DiCaprio always wanted to make this film together and finally felt the time was right. This is their latest collaboration after "Shutter Island," "The Departed," "Gangs of New York" and "The Aviator."
Beside committing to this drama, Scorsese is also set to direct crime drama "The Snowman". Meanwhile, DiCaprio has just completed the filming of "The Great Gatsby".
