AceShowbiz - As the release date of "The Hunger Games" gets closer, Lionsgate Films hypes up the promotion of the highly anticipated film by unleashing its first featurette. Making its way out via ET Online, the behind-the-scene video offers a look at several new scenes as well as interviews with the film's key cast members.

Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Lenny Kravitz and Wes Bentley are featured sharing their thoughts on the much-awaited movie. At one point, Hutcherson is seen gushing that he feels really connected to Peeta, whom he describes as "so much like who I am as a person."

Based on Suzanne Collin's bestselling novel, "The Hunger Games" revolves around Lawrence's Katniss as she replaces her sister, Prim, in annual deadly games sponsored by the Panem government. Along with her District 12 partner Peeta, the heroine is forced to rely upon her sharp instinct to survive in the games and come back home to the mining district.

Serving as the director is Gary Ross, while Billy Ray provides the script. Rounding up the casting department are Alexander Ludwig as Cato, Willow Shields as Prim, Amandla Stenberg as Rue, Donald Sutherland as President Snow, and Stanley Tucci as Caesar. Lionsgate has set March 23 as the day when "Hunger Games" will open wide in theaters across the United States.
