Britney Spears Reportedly Asks More Than $10M to Judge 'X Factor (US)'

Rumor has it, both the show's and the 'Hold It Against Me' songstress' camps have been negotiating about the money for some time, with the singer sticking to $16 million.

AceShowbiz - $10 million is apparently not enough to lure Britney Spears to join "The X Factor (US)". After words came out that the pop singer has been offered the aforementioned amount of money to be a judge on the show's sophomore season, new reports say she wants more.

According to E! Online's source, both camps have "been negotiating for some time", mainly to discuss about the money. The source adds that the "Womanizer" hitmaker is sticking to her demand of $16 million paycheck.

Meanwhile, The Wrap reports that Britney has rejected the $10 million offer about three weeks ago, and is contemplating to become a resident performer at a Las Vegas hotel in the fall. On how much the 30-year-old mother of two wants, the site says the singer is asking for $20 million to take the gig on the Simon Cowell-created reality series.

Previously, it was reported that Britney is close to seal a $10 million deal with his fiance Jason Trawick negotiating the contract. It was believed that she could sign the contract as soon as next week, but a so-called source from the "Crossroads" star's camp claims the report is out of date.

Simon himself has remained mum on who will join him and L.A. Reid on the judging panel of "The X Factor (US)" season 2. The British producer said last February that the new judges will be announced in the next few weeks.
