First Look of Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer in 'Lone Ranger'
Movie

The movie's producer Jerry Bruckheimer delivered the photo of Depp and Hammer in full-costume and tweeted 'Tonto and The Lone Ranger Ride Again!'

AceShowbiz - A few months after getting "The Lone Ranger" back on track, producer Jerry Bruckheimer tweeted a photo from the set on Thursday, February 8 morning. The first look from the filming in New Mexico captures Armie Hammer as the titular character and Johnny Depp as his sidekick, Toto.

The project was almost dead last year when budget became an issue. The stars, Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski reportedly agreed to cut twenty percent off their salary to reduce the budget from $250 million to a $215 million range. Once the problem was solved, the filming began in late February for a release on May 31, 2013.

"We cut a sequence involving a coyote attack - supernatural coyotes - and a small animated segment," Bruckheimer said previously. "The train [scenes] are intact. We trimmed it a little bit. Gore made some sacrifices creatively, but nothing that would hurt the film. We had to work it out. The studio set a number, and it was always our responsibility to get to the number."

"The Lone Ranger" follows a masked Texas Ranger (Hammer) who survived the deathly ambush by a gang of outlaws. Together with his native American assistant Tonto (Depp), he brings the unscrupulous gang and others of that ilk to justice.
