Former 'ER' Actress Linda Cardellini Becomes a Mother to Baby Girl

Also welcoming a new addition to his family is 'Boots On' singer Randy Houser, whose wife Jessa Lee Yantz gave birth to their first child, a baby boy, on Tuesday, March 6.

AceShowbiz - Happy news is coming from a former cast member of "ER". Linda Cardellini, who plays Nurse Samantha Taggart on the medical drama series, has given birth to her first child with boyfriend Steve Rodriguez, her representative confirms. The baby girl named Lilah-Rose was born last Wednesday, February 29.

The 36-year-old actress, who formerly starred on "Freaks and Geeks", announced her pregnancy back in mid-October 2011. In an interview with PEOPLE weeks later, she gushed, "It's a wonderful, thrilling event. I think you can't help but be slightly terrified because somebody's whole life will be in your hands."

Cardellini isn't the only celebrity celebrating the arrival of her first child. Country crooner Randy Houser has also just become a first time father to a baby boy. His representative revealed that the "Boots On" singer and his wife Jessa Lee Yantz welcomed their son, who weighed in at 6 lbs., 10 oz., and measured 19 inches long, in Nashville on Tuesday, March 6.

On late Monday night, Houser took to Twitter to inform his followers, "i'm about to be a daddy!" Hours later, the 35-year-old singer wrote to fellow country crooner Jerrod Niemann that he has become one. "was ur bus an '09 year model also? Can't see the pic but i bet it was! Oh yea i became a daddy today!" he tweeted.
