LeAnn Rimes has addressed the reports which put her in contention to be one of the new judges of "The X Factor (US)". Asked by E! Online about the possibility of her joining the show's sophomore season, the "Northern Lights" star admitted she is "open" to the gig.

"I love the show. I mean, I love all the shows," the 29-year-old actress/singer said when met at Bovet 1922's Hollywood Domino Gala & Tournament at the Sunset Tower Hotel. She coyly added, "There are a lot of unknowns, but I'm always open. Always open to many, many different things."

Noting that she can relate herself to such talent competition, the wife of Eddie Cibrian recalled the time she joined 1980-1990s' "Star Search". She shared, "I was a kid on 'Star Search' when I was eight. I obviously have an 18-year career in this business."

Beside Rimes, Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, Kelly Rowland and Vanessa Hudgens are also rumored to join Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid in the judging panel of "X Factor (US)" season 2. Responding to the speculations, Cowell who created the show has stated, "There's a load of speculation, some true, some not true."

He further revealed, "It's true to say that there a lot of more people have entered the frame this year. We were waiting to see who was going to contact us before we actually contacted people... We will meet a number of people over the next few weeks, mainly to explain to them that this is a big commitment when you do a show like this because of the mentoring aspect."

Refusing to confirm or deny any of these rumors at the moment, the British producer said the new judges will be officially announced in "the next few weeks."
