Rachel Crow Inks Deal With Columbia Records, Wants to Work With Eminem

For her upcoming debut album, Rachel reportedly will work with the producer who once helped Adele work on her hit single 'Chasing Pavement'.

AceShowbiz - Rachel Crow has found a home to release her debut album. "The X Factor (US)" outcast is confirmed to have signed a record deal with Sony Music-owned Columbia Records. Her CD is expected to be released in partnership with Simon Cowell's company, Syco.

Talking about her vision for her studio debut, the 14-year-old singer from Mead, Colorado gushes to MTV News that she wants to have a rapper featured on it. "I want at least one of my songs to have a guy rapping in it, because that is just so cool. Maybe Eminem can rap on it?" she says.

The girl, who was mentored by Cowell during her participation on the U.S. version of "The X Factor", also opens up, "I want my first album to have a lot of high notes in songs." She adds, "I want there to be upbeat songs and slow songs, I want it to be retro and very soulful."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Crow will work with producer Eg White for the upcoming album. White is well known for being the mastermind behind Adele's breakout single "Chasing Pavements".

In addition to scoring a deal with a major label, Crow has also landed a role in a Nickelodeon new comedy. She is cast in a recurring role for "Fred: The Show" as a young aspiring singer, Starr. "She's spunky and crazy," so she describes her character.
