While 8 Legged Productions has agreed to pay Taymor's full royalties, a federal copyright infringement lawsuit and a countersuit between the two parties are still ongoing.

AceShowbiz - At least one chapter in a legal dispute between "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" producers and former director Julie Taymor has ended. 8 Legged Productions has agreed to pay Taymor's full royalties, settling the litigation between the two parties.
Additionally, the producers have reached an agreement on compensation for Taymor on subsequent productions of the show. No amount was disclosed in the partial settlement though.
"The litigation between us is over," said Karen Azenberg, president of the SDC. "And we are hopeful that any remaining issues between the producer and Ms. Taymor regarding her role as author can also be resolved to the satisfaction of all."
The still ongoing legal dispute includes a federal copyright infringement lawsuit brought by Taymor against the producers, and a countersuit filed by the producers against Taymor and her company, LOH Inc. In their claim, the producers defend that Taymor's version of the superhero story bears little resemblance to the show that is currently playing at the Foxwoods Theatre.
"Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" has been deemed the most expensive production in Broadway with $75 million in initial expenses. It faced some delays before it officially opened in June last year. After Taymor was fired in March 2011, Philip William McKinley was hired as creative consultant.
