AceShowbiz - Zachary Levi has landed a new job just weeks after "Chuck" wrapped. The title character depicter on the recently axed NBC series has been tapped to headline FOX's single-camera comedy pilot "Let It Go".
In the ensemble comedy, the "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel" actor will play one half of a married couple. The story follows "the husband, his best friend and her sister as they try to navigate, negotiate and sometimes manipulate society's unspoken rules."
DJ Nash writes the script for the project, which has Peter Tolan and Michael Wimer on board to serve as executive producers.
In another casting news, Peter Mensah is set to join the upcoming fifth season of "True Blood". The actor, who reprises his role as Oenomaus on Showtime's "Spartacus: Vengeance", nabs a recurring role as Kibwe, Chancellor for the Vampire Authority, who "works toward mainstreaming under Roman's tenure."
The new season of "True Blood" is set to debut in summer. Former "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" star Christopher Meloni has been cast for a regular role as "an ancient, powerful vampire who holds the fate of Bill and Eric in his hands."
