AceShowbiz - Dan Aykroyd has given a few tidbits regarding his next big-screen project "Ghostbusters 3". In a chat with Empire, the Raymond Stantz depicter hints about recasting Peter Venkman with another actor since the original star, Bill Murray, is reluctant to reprise his role.

"We have a deep, private personal relationship that transcends business," Aykroyd states. He also comments on Murray's reluctance to return to the third installment of "Ghostbusters", saying, "We communicate frequently and his position on the involvement in 'Ghostbusters 3' has been made clear and I respect that."

Aykroyd additionally responds to rumor suggesting Murray shredded his script and sent it back with note that read, "No-one wants to pay money to see fat, old men chasing ghosts." He says, "Bill Murray is not capable of such behavior. This is simply something that would not be in his nature." He adds, "Bill has too much positive estimation of my writing skills to shred the work."

Now that he might lose Murray, Aykroyd hopes to lure Rick Moranis into re-joining the upcoming movie. He shares, "If we can get the script to Ghostbusters 3 right, then it would definitely have Moranis as a major component. None of us would want to do the movie without having him as a participant."
