Saying that she's 'done with being a bitter witch,' Adele confesses that she's far from being a miserable person like the one she portrays in her songs.

AceShowbiz - Hot on the heels of her big win at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards, Adele's interview for her cover story on Vogue's latest issue is released. During the chat, the British popstar drops a hint about what to expect from her upcoming studio album. She says she won't write a breakup song ever again, stating, "I'm done with being a bitter witch."

Adele talks about the matter when responding to remarks from the interview that "it's going to take a brave man to date her." She replies, "Come on! I'm wifey material! I'm great. No one's got to be brave. It's not like, 'You f**k me over and I'm going to write a record and make you the most hated man in the world.' I am never writing a breakup record again, by the way."

Before making her vow, however, she says, "After my first record, interviewers were like, 'Are you going to be as sharing and as honest on your next record?' And I was like, 'No, I think I've learned my lesson.' And then I did it again! But even more magnified! So as much as I'm like, 'I want to be private! Don't take my f**king picture!' I did ask for it."

Adele admits that writing songs based on her personal experiences helps her connect with her fans. The 23-year-old singer states, "I think it's because I write my songs; it's my life. And it's quite hard not to dwell on the tragedy of it. With those women, they usually didn't write their songs, and yet they still link to them."

"When I sing 'Someone Like You', I know that every single person in the room will be able to relate to it. That's where that emotional connection comes from. I have sympathy for myself, I have sympathy for them, they have sympathy for me, and I know that we are all there knowing exactly how each other feels. It's like a big pact. You can just feel it. You can slice it."

Despite the sad stories which dominate her records, Adele insists the songs don't reflect her real personality. "People think that I'm f**king miserable," she shares. "They are really surprised when they meet me that I'm chatty and bubbly and kind of quite carefree really. I'm the total opposite of my records."
