The sixth-place finisher on 'American Idol' season 5 climbs up to No. 7 on Billboard Hot 200 four years after busting the chart with her eponymous album.

AceShowbiz - Four years after releasing her self-titled studio album, Kellie Pickler came back with a brand new effort "100 Proof". In this CD which is her third one, the former contestant of "American Idol" took on personal issues based on her real life experiences.

Pickler addressed her bittersweet relationship with her father in single "Tough". She talked about going through a tough childhood when he was arrested and trying to reconnect with him once he's out of jail. Of its video shoot, she said, "There was so much healing in shooting this one."

In a heartbreaking ballad "Mother's Day", Pickler opened up about her estranged relationship with her mother. When her father was in and out of jail, her mom abandoned her and eventually lost her custody. She was then raised by her grandparents.

From addressing those sad issues, Pickler switched to a lighter story in her song "Rockaway". In this track, the 25-year-old singer/songwriter took fans to take a peek at her fun, relaxing story of commitment to her husband, Kyle Jacobs.

"This is just going to be Kellie, like it or leave it," she once said of the new album. "I don't expect people to like me or like my music. I want them to, but I can't make them. If I can't be me, then I don't want to do it."

She debuted at No. 7 on Billboard Hot 200, marking her highest charting album. She could only climb up to No. 9 on the U.S. album chart with her two previous albums, 2006's "Small Town Girl" and 2008's "Kellie Pickler".
