AceShowbiz - Zooey Deschanel brought her "adorkable" "New Girl" persona to "Saturday Night Live" on February 11. Hosting the latest episode of the variety show, she sang a song about a guy who forgets Valentine's Day while playing an ukulele in the monologue.
The "500 Days of Summer" actress later showed her dancing skill in a sketch titled "Les Jeunes de Paris" that parodies "The Artist". Helping her to spoof the Golden Globes-winning movie was none other than the film's lead actor, Jean Dujardin.
In addition to Dujardin, Nicolas Cage made a surprise appearance in "Weekend Update" alongside Andy Samberg. The show's regular, who wore a prosthetic forehead, claimed himself to be real Cage and said the "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance" actor was his cloned twin.
In the wake of Whitney Houston's death which was announced just hours before "SNL" aired, the NBC show also paid a silent tribute to the six-time Grammy Award winner by showing a picture of the late singer's 1996 appearance in a sketch of the show alongside Molly Shannon. Meanwhile, Karmin took the stage to perform "Brokenhearted" and "I Told You So".
