Los Angeles Police Department says that Robert Dewey Hoskins, who walked out of Metropolitan State Hospital in Norwalk unnoticed on February 3, was apprehended in Long Beach.

AceShowbiz - Days after walking away unnoticed from the Metropolitan State Hospital in Norwalk, Madonna's stalker has been found and returned to the facility. Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that Robert Dewey Hoskins was arrested shortly before 9 A.M. Friday, February 10 in Long Beach, about eight miles away from the mental facility he escaped.

"At this point they are returning him to the facility," Los Angeles Police Sgt. Mitzi Fierro told HLN's Nancy Grace, "and I believe that will be determined by the detectives who will investigate - number one, his ability to walk away from the facility and, number two, if he violated anything from that point on."

A day before Hoskins was recaptured, police informed the public that he escaped from the Metropolitan State Hospital on February 3 and was believed to have hopped on a bus to the Long Beach area. In a statement, the LAPD said, "Hoskins is highly psychotic when not taking his medication and has very violent tendencies."

Hoskins had served a 10-year prison sentence for stalking Madonna and making threats that he would slit her throat from ear to ear if she did not agree to marry him. The man, who reportedly also made similar threat to Halle Berry, was placed in the facility to receive mental health treatment until the end of August 2012.
