The former on-screen couple on 'Roseanne' will work together in 'Downwardly Mobile', while the 'Lincoln Lawyer' actor lands a lead role in an untitled pilot project from Greg Berlanti.

AceShowbiz - Almost fifteen years after playing a couple on "Roseanne", John Goodman and Roseanne Barr are set to reunite for an NBC comedy. The Golden Globe winner, who plays Vice Dean Robert Laybourne in "Community" season 3, is close to seal a deal to star in "Downwardly Mobile", a pilot which features his former on-screen wife.

Goodman will play one of the residents at a mobile home park, where Barr's character acts as a surrogate mother to the residents. Barr will additionally serve as a writer, and team up with her real-life boyfriend John Argent as executive producers for the multi-cam comedy.

Also landing a role on a pilot project is Ryan Phillippe. The Greg Marinovich of "The Bang Bang Club" has joined the cast of CBS' cop drama from Greg Berlanti and Nicholas Wootton. In the untitled project, which was previously known as "Golden Boy", the ex-husband of Reese Witherspoon will portray a cop who enjoys a meteoric rise from officer to detective to police commissioner.

In other pilot developments, FOX has just tapped John Stamos to star in single-camera comedy "Little Brother", and ordered a family comedy from "How I Met Your Mother" team (Carter Bays, Craig Thomas and Chris Harris) starring "Ugly Betty" alumna Becki Newton.
