The female tribute from District 12 is seen taking aim with her bow and arrow in the official artwork of the upcoming CD.

AceShowbiz - The front page of "The Hunger Games" soundtrack album has just been unveiled, featuring an image of its heroine Katniss Everdeen. In the cover art, the teen from District 12 is seen aiming her bow and arrow at something unseen.

The CD will be filled with "songs from District 12 and beyond." Its lead single "Safe & Sound" performed by Taylor Swift with The Civil Wars has been released since earlier this year. Its music video will be premiered on Monday, February 13.

Beside featuring the ballad song performed by Swift, soundtrack album for the movie will also line up tracks by The Decemberists and Arcade Fire. The former did their own song "One Engine", while the latter worked with T-Bone Burnett to write a new song called "Horn of Plenty".

On top of that, Jennifer Lawrence, who plays Katniss, is going to sing "Rue's Lullaby", a tear-jerking tune she sings to her dying friend in the Arena. "It was beautiful," Burnett once said. "She did great. She's singing great."

"The Hunger Games" itself will arrive in the U.S. on March 23. It follows Katniss as she replaces her little sister in a fight-to-the-death annual event called the Hunger Games. Supported by Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson as her suitors, it will be followed by a sequel called "Catching Fire" which is set for a November 22, 2013 release.
