Admitting he enjoys working on the space thriller, the 'Blade Runner' helmer throws in possibility of a follow-up as saying, 'I'm also thinking about what the hell I might do for a 'Prometheus 2'.'

AceShowbiz - "Prometheus" has yet to open wide in cinemas, but director Ridley Scott already expressed an interest to develop its follow-up. The British filmmaker, who is currently working on a much-talked-about new "Blade Runner", has dropped hint at a possibility that he would make "Prometheus 2".
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, the 74-year-old director teased, "I just thought 'Prometheus' was so enjoyable - returning to the world of science fiction was so fun - that I wanted to [go back to 'Blade Runner', too]." He added, "I'm also thinking about what the hell I might do for a 'Prometheus 2'."
In addition to talking about the possible "Prometheus" sequel, Scott weighed in on recent rumors suggesting that he's been in talks with Harrison Ford to bring the actor back as Rick Deckard in the untitled Blade Runner project. The reports have already been slammed by the film's producers, and Scott himself spoke up to reassure that Ford is not in negotiation to reprise his iconic role.
"No. Don't know yet. Don't know yet," Scott said when asked if Ford might sign on to the project. Still, he noted that he wouldn't rule out the possibility to cast the "Indiana Jones" actor. He said, "Absolutely not. But I'm not sure that that's going to be a story point, so I don't know. But if it were, nothing would please me more. Honestly."
Scott's "Prometheus", which was originally planned as a prequel for "Alien" but later evolved to a standalone mythology, will arrive in the U.S. theaters on June 8. It follows a team of explorers who discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth. The discovery leads them to a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.
As for the new "Blade Runner", the project is still in early phase of production. Scott will return as the helmer, while Hampton Fancher is in talks to return as the screenwriter.
