In the meantime, Adele reveals to Anderson Cooper on '60 Minutes' that being restricted from talking after her throat surgery didn't stop her from cursing to get her point across.

AceShowbiz - Outspoken designer Karl Lagerfeld shocked many when he branded Adele "a little too fat" in a recent interview, but he was quick to backtrack his words. Just days after his interview was published, the creative director of Chanel explained that his remarks were taken out of the context.
"I'd like to say to Adele that I am your biggest admirer," the 78-year-old told Metro. "Sometimes when you take a sentence out of the article it changes the meaning of the thought. What I said was in relation to Lana Del Rey and the sentence has since been taken out of context from how it was originally published."
"I actually prefer Adele, she is my favorite singer and I am a great admirer of her," he continued. "I lost over 30 kilos over 10 years ago and have kept it off. I know how it feels when the press is mean to you in regards to your appearance." He stressed in the end, "Adele is a beautiful girl. She is the best. And I can't wait for her next CD."
Back on February 6, Metro released its interview with Lagerfeld. In the chat, the British newspaper asked the German fashion designer about Del Rey, and he responded by saying, "I prefer Adele and Florence Welch. But as a modern singer she is not bad. The thing at the moment is Adele. She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice."
The controversy aside, Adele herself has had her first interview since undergoing a vocal cord surgery in November 2011. Speaking to Anderson Cooper in an interview for CBS' "60 Minutes", the "Rolling in the Deep" singer admitted it was hard for her not to speak for about two months to recover from the procedure, but found an app that helps her to communicate.
"I also had an application on my phone that you type the words into it and then it speaks it," the 23-year-old Grammy nominee spilled. "But the great thing is I love to swear. Most of [the apps] you can't swear on, but I found this one app where you can swear, so I'm still really getting my point across."
During the interview to air Sunday, February 12 at 7:00 P.M. ET/PT, the "Someone Like You" singer also recalled losing her voice while singing live on French radio. "It felt like someone put a curtain over my throat," she remembered. "It felt like something popped in my throat." She further expressed her fear that it would happen again, "if I decide to go on a 200-date world tour."
