'Avengers' and 'Battleship' Super Bowl Spots Loaded With Tons of New Destruction Scenes

Both promo videos for the Marvel and the Hasbro movies showcase plenty of dramatic war scenes involving massive attacks that are launched to destroy a city.

AceShowbiz - The Super Bowl spots for "The Avengers" and "Battleship" have been premiered. Each of the promo videos, which aired during the Sunday, February 5 football championship event, is jam-packed with plenty of never-before-seen battle footage. Both of them also showcase stunning visual effects involving the destruction scenes of a city.

The ad for Marvel's "The Avengers" offers a look at the epic scenes wherein an army of evil forces launches an attack on the Earth. It also sees a dramatic 360 degree shot of Captain America, the Hulk, Black Widow, Thor, Iron Man and Hawkeye standing together in the middle of a ruined street. A witty conversation between Loki and Tony Starks as well as a wild transformation of The Hulk are included as well.

As for the "Battleship" promo, it uncovers tons of fresh epic battle scenes on the city streets. It gives a look at giant metallic balls being thrown to destroy a city, and shows a better look at the robotic aliens that invade an international naval street. A brand new footage that sees an intense war in the sea is also included.

In "The Avengers", the Earth Mightiest Heroes must team up to fight the biggest foes no single hero could withstand. The superhero ensemble movie is due to arrive in the U.S. theaters on May 4. It is supported by Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Jeremy Renner, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston and Samuel L. Jackson.

"Battleship", meanwhile, follows an international naval fleet at Pearl Harbor which engage in a massive battle against an alien race known as "The Refents". Those aliens arrive on planet Earth, on a mission to gain power source in the ocean. Liam Neeson, Taylor Kitsch, Rihanna, Alexander Skarsgard and Brooklyn Decker are supporting the Hasbro movie, which will open wide in the U.S. on May 18.
