Courtney Love to Sue Over Leaked Court Papers Filed by Her Daughter

More than two years ago, the singer's teen daughter Francis Bean Cobain wanted a restraining order against the singer for the death of their family pets.

AceShowbiz - Courtney Love is unhappy that her secret family feud was leaking to a website. The singer has "confidential" deposition papers filed by her daughter Francis Bean Cobain in 2009 which accused her of the death of their cat and dog.

James Janowitz, the lawyer who handled the family court proceedings in Los Angeles, is investigating The Fix and new e-book "Courtney Comes Clean" who got their hands on the court-sealed documents. "I don't know how they were disclosed ...When I find out what happened, we will take the appropriate legal action," Janowitz said.

In the court papers, Francis said the family cat died after getting "entangled" in Courtney's piles of possessions while the dog accidentally swallowed some of the Hole singer's prescription pills. Francis also said in the docs that she feared their life because Courtney would often fall asleep in bed while smoking.

The Fix's editor and author Maer Roshan has released a statement, saying "I honestly regret that Courtney is upset. While there's been lots of press about the deposition, reviews of the book have universally commented on its nuanced and empathetic portrayal ...As most people know, Courtney is not a model of discretion ...The details about the deposition are absolutely true, and I stand by every word in the book."

Courtney is planning to sue whoever leak the papers. "For somebody to meddle in such private and personal matters is pretty reprehensible," Janowitz said. "We can say that all of the statements made about [Love] relating to the court filings, her daughter and other personal matters are false."

Despite the old lawsuit, mother and daughter reportedly are in good terms.
