Since Stefan supports Elena's idea that could risk her life, Damon wishes that his brother is back to the old person he was, who cared about Elena's safety.

AceShowbiz - Now that Stefan is back to the team of good guys on "The Vampire Diaries", a love triangle drama between him, Elena and Damon reignites. In a sneak peek to the next episode of the drama series, Stefan realizes that his older brother has taken over his place, but could not help offering himself to protect Elena.
The clip sees Elena proposing herself to find out what's Klaus' next plan, but Damon thinks it's too risky. Stefan, on the other hand, supports Elena's idea. Disagreeing with his brother, Damon hopes they can go back in time to the old Stefan who cared for Elena's life. "What for? It's your job now," so Stefan responds.
When Elena insists on her plan, Stefan offers himself to go with her. Claiming that his younger brother would get out of control when seeing Klaus, Damon decides to accompany Elena.
"Dangerous Liaisons" will air Thursday, February 9 at 8/7c on The CW. In the episode, Klaus will host a formal ball at his newly renovated mansion, inviting Elena, Caroline and Matt to the party. At the elegant party, Elena learns of a horrifying plan, while Caroline discovers a side of Klaus no one would have suspected.
