AceShowbiz - Ringo Starr won't be joining The Beatles reunion if there is any. The former Fab Four rules out doing the band reunion when being asked by CNN to address rumor about a 2012 Olympics gig in London. "Oh no, I'll be here. I'm already booked in America," he says.
When he's informed that his former bandmate, Paul McCartney, thought the opposite, Ringo states, "Paul can do it." The English musician, who played drums in the band, adds, "He is doing quite well without me. He is doing OK."
"We have played a couple of times together. We did the David Lynch show a couple of years ago, so we have done that. But I will not be at the Olympics. I have to be very definite about that because they will say, 'Oh, is he coming? Isn't he coming?' No, I am not going ... but to all the athletes, 'Peace and Love!' "
As for working with Paul again, he says, "The door is open that Paul and I might play together, but it is not like a reunion. It is not going to be the Beatles, you know? They have those crazy ideas that maybe we could use their children. It is never going to happen."
Ringo Starr has just released his latest solo studio album "Ringo 2012" in the U.S. on January 31. He has been tapped to present at 2012 Grammy Awards along with Drake, Gwyneth Paltrow, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, Jack Black, Stacy Ferguson aka Fergie and Questlove.
