AceShowbiz - Chris Pine tries to impress Reese Witherspoon with his knowledge of art in the first clip for "This Means War". In the snippet, Pine is seen asking for a help from a fellow CIA agent to secretly guide him while he gushes about artistic paintings to Witherspoon. However, the plan goes awry as Pine's rival, Tom Hardy, hijacks the connection and starts to misguide Pine to make him look like a fool in front of the leading lady.
In the upcoming adult comedy film, Pine and Hardy play two of the world's deadliest CIA operatives, who are also inseparable partners and best friends. Their friendship is suddenly crashed as they start to fall in love with the same woman (Witherspoon). Having once helped bring down entire enemy nations, they are now employing their incomparable skills and an endless array of high-tech gadgetry against their greatest nemesis ever; each other.
"This Means War" was initially granted an R rating by the by the Classification and Rating Appeals Board. However, 20th Century Fox has moved fast to readjust the film to secure the PG-13 rating by trimming some sexual contents, including the one that features raunchy jokes made by Chelsea Handler's character, Trish.
Directed by McG, the film is additionally supported by Abigail Spencer, Til Schweiger and John Paul Ruttan. The movie is set to arrive in the U.S. theaters on Valentine's Day on February 14.
