Following the R rating given to the film by the Classification and Rating Appeals Board, 20th Century Fox moves fast to readjust the film in order to secure the less-restrictive rating.

AceShowbiz - Reese Witherspoon's upcoming adult comedy, "This Means War", will eventually have a PG-13 as it opens in the U.S. theaters this Valentine's Day. After being granted an R rating by the Classification and Rating Appeals Board on Thursday, January 26, the film has been readjusted to secure the less-restrictive rating.
20th Century Fox finally agreed to tone down some sexual contents featured in the film. Those involve some scenes that show raunchy jokes made by Chelsea Handler's character, Trish. Multiple insiders confirmed that on Friday, the movie has already been downgraded to the PG-13 rating as the studio wanted it.
"This Means War" centers on two world's deadliest CIA operatives, who are also inseparable partners and best friends. Their bond is crashed when they fall in love with the same woman. Having once helped bring down entire enemy nations, they are now employing their incomparable skills and an endless array of high-tech gadgetry against their greatest nemesis ever - each other.
Tom Hardy and Chris Pine star as the two best friends-turned-nemeses, while Witherspoon tackles the part of the woman they're in love with. Also supporting the movie are Abigail Spencer, Til Schweiger and John Paul Ruttan. McG works behind the lens with Timothy Dowling and Simon Kinberg providing the script.
