Rumor has it, Jane Carrey received a special treatment from the show's producers and did not have to 'sleep outside and wait for hours' to audition like other contestants.

AceShowbiz - After making headlines with her participation on "American Idol", Jane Carrey is hit with a negative report. Words are, the daughter of Jim Carrey was given a special treatment and did not have to go through the same process as other contestants who had to line up and wait outside to audition.

"She didn't have to sleep outside and wait for hours hoping to audition like everyone else," a source tells Radar Online. "Her audition was pre-arranged with the producers. She did not wait and line up for hours or days outside - she had a time, she showed up and went in."

The source claimed that Jane's last name helped her get the privilege, saying, "American Idol always says they don't give everyone favors, but this time they did for Jane." Though so, the source is not sure if the judges knew about the special treatment allegedly given to Jane.

Despite the accusation, Jane did show she has talent during "Idol" auditions in San Diego. She belted out "Something to Talk About" which earned her a Golden Ticket to Hollywood. Speaking on the phone after the audition, Jim said, "I can't wait for the world to understand what she has."

24-year-old Jane herself admitted, "It is difficult kind of growing up in the shadow of something and trying to find your place in the world under the huge shadow." However, she said that her comedian father is "not the most extravagant celebrity so it's been fairly normal."
