The Dr. April Kepner depicter on the Patrick Dempsey-starring TV series names her newborn son Micah Emmanuel Lanfer.

AceShowbiz - "Grey's Anatomy" star Sarah Drew has finally become a mother. The actress, who plays Dr. April Kepner in the drama TV series, gave birth to her first child with husband Peter Lanfer in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening, January 18.

Drew, through her representative, told Us Weekly that she delivered a baby boy, who weighed in at 7 lbs, 4 oz and was 19 inches long at time of birth. The rep said of the happy couple, "She and her husband, Peter Lanfer, are in love with him." They named the baby Micah Emmanuel Lanfer.

Back in 2011, the 31-year-old actress, who wed Lanfer in 2002, shared that she opted for a delivery surprise. On the reason why, she explained, "There are so few surprises in life that are really worth looking forward to, and we decided this is one of them. We were excited to be surprised."

"I also thought it would be a good idea to wait to find out because I am a control freak by nature. I'm about to walk into a chapter of my life where I have no control over anything anymore, and I figured I'd ease myself into it by not allowing myself to plan for the gender of the baby," she went on. "I'll just go with it when the baby arrives. It's good training for me!"
