AceShowbiz - As Charlie Sheen and Bruce Helford are looking for actresses to take female lead roles on "Anger Management", several names show up as possible contenders to fill the parts. According to Deadline, Selma Blair is one of the stars who will be testing for the role of Charlie's therapist, who is envisioned as a love interest for him.

In addition to the "Kath & Kim" alumna, Kate Reinders ("Work It") and Shawnee Smith ("Becker") are also said to be in contention for the therapist role. As for Charlie's ex-wife, Julie Benz ("Dexter", "No Ordinary Family"), Jenica Bergere ("Modern Family"), Elaine Hendrix ("90210") and Nicole Hiltz ("In Plain Sight") are eying the said part.

Another female lead role which is yet to be cast is Charlie's 13-year-old daughter. There is no word though on who may be seen tackling this part.

At the recent TCA press tour, Helford who serves as showrunner talked about the actresses who may join the new sitcom. "They're in their late 30s to mid 40s. So it will probably be someone who had experience and that you'll know," he teased.

Sheen himself will portray a former baseball player called Charlie, who has anger issues and winds up as an unconventional anger management therapist. The show will focus on his work life as well as his personal life. Helford explained, "It's half workplace and half personal life but there's an organic flow back and forth."
