Golden Globes 2012: Full TV Winner List Includes 'Modern Family' as Best Comedy

Another TV category whose winner announced toward the end of the January 15 prize-giving event is Best Musical or Comedy Actor, which goes to 'Episodes' star Matt LeBlanc.

AceShowbiz - HFPA has handed out all kudos for the best in television field at the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, January 15. Rounding out the winner list was the announcement of "Modern Family" as the Best TV Comedy or Musical.

The win gave a chance for Sofia Vergara to take the mic and deliver a speech after she was previously beaten by Jessica Lange ("American Horror Story") in the race for the Best Supporting Actress title. The Gloria Delgado-Pritchett of the ABC show thanked the HFPA in Spanish.

Winning big that night was newbie "Homeland". It snatched the Best TV Drama title after being pitted against "American Horror Story", "Boardwalk Empire", "Boss" and "Game of Thrones". Its female lead Claire Danes was additionally named Best Actress in a TV Drama.

Losing the Best Drama title, "Boss" claimed its only trophy through Kelsey Grammer's win for Best Actor in a TV Drama. "Game of Thrones" was not going home empty handed either, for its actor Peter Dinklage was named Best Supporting TV Actor.

In Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture category, "Downton Abbey" won the title over "Mildred Pierce" among others. However, the latter managed to help Kate Winslet grab the kudo for Best Actress in a Mini-Series or Made-for-TV Movie.

Other winners at the Ricky Gervais-hosted ceremony included Matt LeBlanc, Idris Elba and Laura Dern. The show additionally saw Morgan Freeman being honored with the Cecille DeMille Award.
