AceShowbiz - Miley Cyrus' latest teen dramedy film "LOL" has got its first trailer available for viewing pleasure. The sneak peek centers on Cyrus' Lola, a rebellious teenage girl who loves to throw party and gets flirty with a handsome boy. It also sees Demi Moore playing Lola's mom, who gets disappointed of her troublemaker daughter and suspends her after seeing her poor report card.
In the movie, Lola and her friends navigate the peer pressures of high school romance and friendship while dodging their overbearing and confused parents. Lola gets dumped by her boyfriend, and sets her sights on his best friend Kyle. She then begins her sexual awakening and experiments with drugs.
During Lola's tribulations, her oblivious mother, Anne, struggles to move on from her divorce. However, when Anne accidentally discovers her teenage daughter's racy journal, she realizes just how wide their communication gap has grown.
A remake of the French film "Laughing Out Loud", "LOL" is directed and written by Lisa Azuelos. In addition to Cyrus and Moore, the dramedy is supported by Douglas Booth as Kyle, and Ashley Greene as Lola's rival Ashley. The film hasn't got a U.S. release date, but it will open in the U.K. on June 1.
