Offering updates on his condition, the husband of Mariah Carey who is currently treated for 'mild kidney failure' writes on his Twitter page, 'Thank you all for all your love, prayers and concern.'

AceShowbiz - Nick Cannon will continue recovering from a mild kidney failure in Los Angeles. The host of "America's Got Talent", who has been hospitalized in Aspen, Colo. since Wednesday, January 4, tweeted on early Thursday that he is being transfered to a hospital in the City of Angels.

"Currently being transfered to a hospital in LA," the 31-year-old actor/rapper wrote before thanking people who have sent prayers to him, "Thank you all for all your love, prayers and concern." Remaining positive on his condition, he added, "You know me... I will be a'ight."

Meanwhile, E! Online has offered an explanation of how Nick got struck with such illness. According to a so-called source close to the situation, the husband of Mariah Carey had been sick with flu and the kidney failure was likely an extension of the sickness.

"People who get common illnesses - say, someone can get a fever, a viral infection or a cough or some problem with their lungs short term - they can get kidney dysfunction as a consequence or side effect," so said Dr. Bryan Becker, an immediate past president of the National Kidney Foundation.
