Rachel McAdams: On-Set Romance Is Too Distracting
Celebrity

Aside from sharing her view on finding love with co-stars, the 'Vow' actress jokes about why her ex-boyfriends talk nicely about her and recalls her days working at McDonald's.

AceShowbiz - It is no secret that Rachel McAdams has had romantic relationship with her co-stars. She dated Ryan Gosling after working together on "The Notebook", and is currently dating her "Midnight in Paris" co-star Michael Sheen, but when it comes to on-set romances, she said it's just "too distracting".

The 33-year-old actress rejected the notion that movie set sparks romantic vibes in recent interview. "A set may seem like a good place for romance, but I don't think it's very conducive; it's too distracting," she explained. "Every relationship I've had with a coworker has come after the fact, because you wind up actually spending a lot of time with those people promoting the movie."

During the chat for Glamour's February 2012 issue, the Irene Adler of "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" was also asked why her ex-boyfriends still have nice things to say about her even after their break-up. In her response, she joked, "I'm paying them," before adding, "But, no, that's lovely to hear."

McAdams also opened up about her experience working at McDonald's. Though calling it "a great place to work," she explained why she was not a great employee. "I had a little bit of an OCD thing with hand washing and just didn't have time," she recalled. "They were like, 'Hey, the drive-through's backing up. Stop washing your hands!' "

The actress, who will be seen in "The Vow" further confessed, "I broke the orange juice machine one day." Asked how she got the job in the first place, she revealed that she worked there when she was 16 and was "directing kids' theater, which didn't totally pay the bills."
