The 'Dancing with the Stars' contestant tweets that he and his girlfriend of more than six years 'remain on good terms' and have 'nothing but respect and affection' towards one another.

AceShowbiz - Chaz Bono can no longer call Jennifer Elia his fiancee. The former contestant on "Dancing with the Stars" and his longtime girlfriend recently announced that they have decided to call off their engagement and parted ways after more than six years of dating.
"They leave this relationship with great love, respect and affection towards one another," Howard Bragman, a publicist for the former couple, told PEOPLE when confirming news of the split. "No further amplification will be forthcoming and they ask that you respect their privacy at this time."
Chaz himself has also taken to Twitter to address the separation. "Thanks for your concern about our separation. I'm doing fine, and we remain on good terms with nothing but respect and affection 4 eachother," so wrote the transgender child of Cher and her late ex-husband Sonny Bono.
Chaz and Jennifer started dating before he went through a gender reassignment. During an interview with Oprah Winfrey back in May, Jennifer admitted that "it was really hard" to have Chaz transitioned from woman to man. She explained, "We had to really almost re-learn how to communicate and how to be around each other."
Chaz proposed to Jennifer on the top of Space Needle in Seattle earlier this year, and have the special moment being taped for an episode of OWN's "Being Chaz", which aired in November.
