Named Russell Wallace Day, the first son of the 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' stars was born in Los Angeles at 7:59 P.M. on Thursday, December 15.

AceShowbiz - Charlie Day and Mary Elizabeth Ellis have the more reason to be cheery this Christmas. The stars of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" have announced via PEOPLE that their first son together has been born in Los Angeles at 7:59 P.M. on Thursday, December 15.

The "Horrible Bosses" star and his wife named the baby boy, who weighed in at 7 lbs., 13 oz. and was 21.5 inches long, Russell Wallace Day. It is explained that Russell comes from Ellis' side of the family and also honors a departed friend, while Wallace comes from Day's family tree.

The happy couple, who got married in March 2006, have personally expressed their joy in welcoming the newborn when speaking to PEOPLE. "We are overjoyed and overwhelmed at the amount of love that ushered our baby into the world," they said.

Day and Ellis' son is the latest baby coming from the "Always Sunny" stars. Rob McElhenney and Kaitlin Olson have their first child, Axel, in September 2010. They are expecting their second in spring 2012, while Glenn Howerton has just welcomed his first child with wife Jill Latiano in September 2011.
