The lead actress in the Margaret Thatcher biopic dons a long-sleeve blue top and a black skirt as she arrives with her family at the special screening that takes place at the Ziegfeld Theater.

AceShowbiz - Margaret Thatcher's biopic "The Iron Lady" has been premiered in New York City on Tuesday night, December 13. During the special screening that was held at the Ziegfeld Theater, lead actress Meryl Streep stole the spotlight as she hit the red carpet and posed for the photographers.
The two-time Oscar winner kept it simple, but elegant, by donning a long-sleeve blue top that she paired with a long black skirt. She finished off her conservative look with a miniaudiere, a big black belt, matching stockings and peep-toe heels.
The 62-year-old actress was seen arriving together with husband Don Gummer and their three daughters, Mamie, Grace and Luisa. Mamie looked gorgeous in a pastel color top and black fishtail skirt, Grace looked pretty in a black leather dress and jacket, while Louisa looked elegant in a black pants and blazer.
Among the celebrity guests spotted that night were Anne Hathaway and Olivia Wilde. The former donned a turtle neck sleeveless LBD with ribbon details on the front. She paired her chic style with a pretty hairdo, a matching clutch bag and heels. The latter, meanwhile, opted for a simple black dress she paired with eye-catching animal print heels.
Also on the red carpet, Canadian model Coco Rocha glammed up in a floor-length champagne dress with cutaway details on the arms. Actress Vera Farmiga was seen wearing a furry coat and boots while arriving with her husband Renn Hawkey.
"The Iron Lady" follows the life of Thatcher, a woman who smashes through the barriers of gender and class to be heard in a male-dominated world. The movie focuses on the price that is paid for power and sees a surprising and intimate portrait of an extraordinary and complex woman who becomes the first female Prime Minister in Britain.
Serving as the helmer for the biopic was Phyllida Lloyd, while Brian Fillis writes the screenplay. The drama is scheduled to hit limited theaters in the U.S. on December 30.
