AceShowbiz - Rosie O'Donnell is ready to tie the knot once again. During a break in the taping of OWN's "The Rosie Show" on Monday, December 5, the 49-year-old comedienne/talk show host told studio audience that she is engaged to girlfriend Michelle Rounds. Her representative has since confirmed the news.
Rosie's rep dished to Access Hollywood that the couple became betrothed several weeks ago. Accordingly, they will continue to split their time between New York City and Chicago, where Rosie's Oprah Winfrey Network show is taped. Us Weekly suggested that the pair will tie the knot over the Christmas holidays, but her rep said there's "no date yet."
Rosie has given hint about her engagement to Michelle back on Friday, December 2. At the time, she posted a photo of her girlfriend wearing what seems to be an engagement ring. In its caption, she simply wrote the word "love." On Monday, the TV star put up a clear shot of the ring and wrote, "so so so happy."
Rosie met Michelle earlier this year at a Starbucks. They first went public as a couple in September at the red carpet for the Building Dreams for Kids Gala in New York City. During an appearance on ABC's "Nightline", she joked that her "gaydar was way off" when she met Michelle because she thought the IT company headhunter was heterosexual and just 28 years old.
This will be the second marriage for Rosie. The TV personality married longtime partner Kelli Carpenter in San Francisco back in 2004, but split three years later. They have four children together. Before dating Michelle, Rosie dated mother of six Tracy Kachtick-Anders for one year but called it quits in winter 2010.
