AceShowbiz - Bill and Cathi have ended their gig on "The Amazing Race". The grandparents were the last team to arrive at the pit stop in the previous leg where the contestants were told to continue the race immediately. In the November 27 episode, the old couple still could not catch up with the other teams.
For the first challenge which still took place in Belgium, the teams must head to Ford Lommel Proving Grounds where they had to test drive a Ford Mustang. Ernie and Cindy took over the leading position from Amani and Marcus at this point with Jeremy and Sandy following closely behind them.
After doing the test drive, the teams headed to Ghent where they faced detour. The choice was between Water and Waffle. In Water, they must build a raft and search for their clues in the water. In Waffle, the teams had to build a waffle stand and then bake and decorate 18 Belgian waffles to get the next clue.
Ernie and Cindy as well as Jeremy and Sandy chose the waffle challenge, but the latter team got a problem with a lumpy batter and advised Bill and Cathi not to do the waffle. Tommy and Andy as well as Marcus and Armani chose the water challenge, and so did Bill and Cathi. The grandparents got some tips from Marcus.
Ernie and Cindy finished the detour first, followed by Tommy and Andy. When Amani and Marcus were done with their raft, Jeremy and Sandy were still arguing whether to stick with this challenge or to switch to the other one. When they finally completed it, Ernie and Cindy already went to De Muur Van Geraardsbergen.
The next clue told them to find a pigeon trainer and release some pigeons. After releasing their pigeons, the teams got the next clue that led them to Atomium, which was the pit stop in this leg. Ernie and Cindy got lost, giving the first position to Andy and Tommy. The snowboarders won a brand new Ford mustang each that they can customize online.
Jeremy and Sandy arrived the second, followed by Ernie and Cindy as well as Amani and Marcus in respective order. Bill and Cathi realized that they would be the last team to arrive and they gave it up, making them the latest couple to be eliminated in this season.
