Drizzy thanks his loyal fans for helping him win the race to No. 1 on Billboard Hot 200 by tweeting, 'I can't even find the words to express my appreciation.'

AceShowbiz - Drake was quick to thank his devotees upon learning that he claimed the top spot on Billboard Hot 200. "I can't even find the words to express my appreciation...'thank you and I owe you' is all that comes to mind...truly," the Canadian rapper tweeted to his followers.

Drizzy topped the U.S. album chart with his sophomore set "Take Care". He sold a grand total of 631,000 copies, falling short of the initial estimation of 675,000 to 700,000. Still, it's his best sales week since his first No. 1 album "Thank Me Later" entered the chart with 447,000.

Additionally, the number's enough to place Drizzy as an artist with the third-largest sales week of the year. He stood behind Lady GaGa who held the biggest sales week of 2011 with "Born This Way" (1.1 million), and Lil Wayne who followed her with "Tha Carter IV" (964,000).

It, however, should be noted that the Mother Monster got such a huge selling number with the help of 99-cent sale pricing on Amazon, while the two Young Money MCs didn't use such tactics. Due to this issue, Billboard would no longer count "unit sales for albums priced below $3.49" starting November 21.

The low pricing "during their first four weeks of release will not be eligible for inclusion on the Billboard album charts and will not count towards sales data presented by Nielsen SoundScan," it's announced. Also, unit sales for digital tracks priced below $0.39 during their first three months of release will be excluded from the counting.

On Hot 200, Michael Buble held the runner-up position firmly with his latest "Christmas" album which added 165,000 (up 35|percent|). Adele also got a boost by having an 8|percent| increase of "21" and rose from No. 5 to No. 3 with 113,000 copies.

This marks Adele's 39th straight week in the top five of the weekly rundown since its No. 1 debut last January. Accordingly, it sets a new record and surpassed Michael Jackson's 1987 album "Bad" which had stayed on the top 5 on the chart for 38 straight weeks.
